SkyTrak as an established company in the industry has perfectly refined the technology in their launch monitors. The SkyTrak launch monitor allows golfers to monitor multiple data points including ball speed, launch angle, backspin, side spin and carry distance. The SkyTrak launch monitor also allows the user to choose between different features such as a skills assessment, bag mapping, closest to the pin, long drive, and target practice

Furthermore, if you don't have internet access when away from the home you can connect the launch monitor to your phone through its Wi-Fi signal.

Launch Monitor Software
The SkyTrak launch monitors are excellent and can be used on their own to review your swing data. However, to get the full benefits of this technology and get the full indoor simulator experience, you should use it with some dedicated software.
There are two SkyTrak software providers which we would recommend. The Golf Club, and E6 Connect. Below we will review the benefits of each to help you make your choice for the one which is best for your requirements.
The Golf Club:
This is an excellent piece of software and allows you to play over 170,000 golf courses from all over the World. The courses include all of the big names you would expect including Pebble Beach and The Augusta National.
The graphics of the display are excellent and are compatible with 4K projectors if you have this set-up in your simulator. There is an annual fee of around $100, but some simulator packages include this as part of the deal.
The one downside is that it is only compatible with a PC (Windows).
E6 Connect:
The benefit of the E6 Connect software is that you can play a variety of games and activities with your SkyTrak launch monitor, not just a driving range. You can also play online with friends.
It only has a limited number of courses available to play unless you upgrade to the premium subscription. However, the mapping of these courses is extremely accurate and makes up for the limited number available.
The graphics are very good and can also be run on 4k projectors, and an added feature is that it is compatible with both PC (Windows) and iOS devices.
I personally use and happy with the E6 Connect software. I can play over 80 courses and they also upload new courses occasionally.

This is perfect if you are setting up a home simulator, however, it will require up to 8 feet of distance behind the golfer to accurately allow the radar to work effectively. This could be an issue for some golfers.
If using the Mevo+ on a home simulator you will need to attach reflective stickers to the golf balls to help the radar measure the ball movement. There are fifty included with the launch monitor. Another alternative is to use the Titleist RCT Pro V1 golf balls – these are designed to be captured by radar and are compatible with the Mevo+.
